“. . .for he endured, as seeing Him Who is invisible.”

Hebrews 11:27b

Through eyes of faith we see Him; through ears of faith we hear Him; through a heart of faith we feel Him and know all’s well.

Him Who is invisible.

Good morning, Pilgrim.  How are you this new day?  Still trying to wipe the sleep out of your eyes?  Weary from the week’s work?  Laboring under a load of guilt?  Anxious over the future?

Regardless, today’s Manna is an invitation to “be still and know the Lord” (Ps. 46:10a).

It’s an invitation to “come and rest” (Mt. 11:28-30) in the arms of the One Who knows you best and loves you most.  Like the wind passing through the nearby tree boughs, you can’t see Him—but, somehow, you know He’s there.

Right there beside you.  Sitting right next to you.  Putting His arm around you.  Whispering your name in the quietness of this moment.

Do you hear Him?  Do you feel His touch?  Do you hear Him quietly calling out to you?

Shhh.  Be still.  Calm your mind.  Slow your breathing.  Close your eyes.  And, listen.

The “invisible God”. . .Maker of Heaven and earth. . .is making a house-call this morning. . . to your place.

And, He’s got all the time in the world.

Just for you.  To hear your hurts and heartaches.  To “catch your tears in His Bottle” (Ps. 56:8, KJV). To lay your weary head upon His breast and whisper, “I love you.  Did you know that?  I’m here for you.  No need to worry.  I’ve got it all under control.”

Mmmm. . .what welcome words. . .to know you don’t face life alone. . .and no longer have to bear those heavy burdens. . .for He’s said “Throw them My way; I’ll carry them for you” (I Pet. 5:7).

Yes, there He is.  Right beside you.  “The invisible God,” Who “sticks closer than a brother” (Prov. 18:24) and has promised to “never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb. 13:5b).

Are those wonderful promises, Pilgrim?

Most assuredly they are.

Why not spend a few minutes right now letting the Lord Jesus love on you?  Picture yourself in His strong, yet gentle arms, resting against Him.  Do you hear His strong, slow, steady heartbeat?  Do you feel His tender embrace?  Do you feel loved?  Accepted?  Forgiven?  Free?  At Peace?

If so, whisper a prayer of thanksgiving right now; if not, rest a little longer.  Again, He’s got all the time in the world.  For you.  And, He loves you very, very much.  Beautiful.
